We love the wonderful craftsmanship and artistry of our artisan partners around the world, but this piece has to be one of our absolute favorites. There is such a sweet simplicity and poignant meaning that is evoked through this wooden artwork. Carved from acacia wood (known as suar wood in Indonesia), this Angel is a touching tribute to love and loss.

Artisans in remote villages in Bali are able to work in small family workshops using traditional carving techniques. Through their Fair Trade partnerships, they receive fair wages, improved working conditions, and the opportunity to share their talent and skills with the world.

While your purchase of one of these Angels may have a meaningful purpose in your life, it also provides meaningful purpose to the lives of those whose hands carved it.
