Just like the Nativity scene depicts a completely unique story, the artists who pounded these designs into the recycled steel drum metal created a truly one-of-a-kind work.  On the streets of Croix des Bouquets in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, artisans proudly display and craft, even autographing, their metal art in a land that struggles massively for peace and unity amidst the tumult of political revolutions and natural disasters.  Perhaps the comforting peace of the Nativity provides a refuge for the hands that made it, as well as for the hands that purchase it.
