We personally LOVE this sweet Tic-Tac-Toe Game, which is handmade in Kenya by teen moms and street mothers, many of whom are rape victims, from the slums of Kibera.  Not only is knowing the back story behind these precious women important, so is knowing that you and your child can appreciate this simple way to play together while staying connected to the young women whose fingers sewed the game pieces.  The board is screen printed onto the carrying bag by a woman from the Kibera slum, who works for the artisan group through Mercy House Global.  Perfect to throw in your purse, diaper bag, the car, or a gift bag!

Street Hope began as a group of women from Mathare slum who had lived on the street for their entire lives. After working with Mercy House Global to learn the art of hand-stitching, the women of Street Hope are growing in their skills and confidence, providing food and education for their children, learning to read, overcoming addiction, and moving into their own homes.
